Ourika Valley Excursion:

• Departure from your hotel / riad at 9:30am. A beautiful drive of 60km takes you to the foot of the Atlas at about 1,000m altitude. Discover and explore the small villages, cafes, grocery shops and small hotels clinging to the sides of the mountains, terraced agriculture, and clear fresh water from the Ourika river. You will visit a Berber house to experience their lifestyle, simplicity of equipment and the privacy of a Berber family. Then you will assist in the preparation of mint tea and exchange cultures with the family.

Itenarary

• Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech and travel over the Tizi n'Tichka Pass while enjoying superb views of the High Atlas Mountains and of the Berber villages. Stop for lunch and tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou that is situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River. This beautiful example of southern Moroccan architecture has been used as a backdrop for over 20 films including Lawrence of Arabia, Jewel of the Nile, The Mummy, and Gladiator. You will continue towards the El Kelaa M'gouna (Valley of the Roses), and the Dadès Valley (Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs). Stay overnight in a hotel right by the Dadès Gorges and enjoy the evening with a Moroccan dinner.
• Day 2: dades valley - Todra Valley - Merzoga
After breakfast you will depart for Todra Gorges. Its 20 m/66 ft wide entrance, bubbling clear stream and its 304 m/1000 ft high rock walls stretch 99 m/325 ft back on either side and is the most stunning part of the canyon. The narrow valley is lined with palmery and up on the rocks you may see the Nomad families tending sheep and goats. Perhaps, you will spot the eagles that nest in the Todra and other amazing birds. You will have lunch in the Gorge, travel further into the desert to the tiny village of Merzouga, where you will camel trek into the beautiful Erg Chebbi Dunes. You will spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), enjoy a Moroccan dinner, and sleep in traditional Nomad camel hair tent.
• Day 3: Merzoga - Agdez - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Wake-up to a spectacular sunrise in the desert and enjoy breakfast. Bivouac trekkers will return by camel and continue to Ouarzazate and back over the high Atlas Mountains. Arrive Marrakech early evening.  www.dadesexperiencetours.com

• Marrakech to Zagora via Ourzazate. 2days/1night.



• Day 1: Marrakech, Tizi N’tichka, Ait Ben Haddou and Zagora.
We depart from Marrakech and pass through the high Atlas Mountains, Tizi N’tichka, after that we will drive to Ait Ben Haddou where we have a short stop to explore the Ksour of Ait Ben Haddou village to see ancient Kasbah ranked by the UNESCO since 1987, it is one of the world top touristic attractions. Many movies were filmed in there including Gladiator, The Mummy (1999), Lawrence of Arabia... Then, we will continue to Ouarzazate where is the studio of cinema is situated and visit an exotic Kasbah of Taourirt. After that, we will drive to the Zagora via Oasis of Agdaz, and the great dara’a valley.


• Day 2: Zagora, Agdaz, Dara’a valley, Ouarzazate and Marrakech.
We depart from Zagora and pass through the Dara’a valley towards Ouarzazate. After that, we will have a short stop to explore the Oasis of Agdaz. Then, we will continue to Ouarzazate where is the studio of cinema is situated and visit an exotic Kasbah of Taourirt which belonged to family Glaoui, sometimes also called the Palace of Glaoui, is built in between the nineteenth and the twentieth century Kasbah. Then, we drive towards Marrakech via Kasbah Telouet which is Located in the small Berber village Télouet in the mountains of the High Atlas. Lunch will be beside Mountains and we reach Marrakech by the early evening where we have the chance to enjoy a sunset drink overlooking the exciting Djemaa El Fna Square from a terrace of a cafe, dinner and night at hotel.  www.dadesexperiencetours.com
